That One Outfit

Friday, August 16, 2013

I am back with a new outfit post! You know when you start to run out of outfit ideas so you decide to just go with an outfit you liked and change a few things about it?

That's what I did for this one. I forgot I had some what recently posted about skater skirts and my cheetah flats. I just changed my shirt and jewelry and put my hair in an adorable bun!

You might also recognize my shirt from one of my firsts posts about the Taylor Swift concert and what I wore!!

Anyways, have you ever have one of these bun days? I have to workout... It's a bun day. I have to go to school... It's a bun day. I wake up late... It's a bun day. Pretty much everyday is a bun day for me. Unfortunately since I cut my hair short I haven't been able to do it as often. But now I can braid my hair upside down and it'll stay!! I don't have to clip those stragglers in the back.

Enjoy my bun and outfit!

Pink & White Cutouts

Sunday, August 11, 2013

Hello there!

Sorry I haven't been posting everyday. Since I have started school again I do have other activities after school and homework so I'am trying my best to post every other day instead but no promises. Expect there to be random posts from now and then later on this year!

So back to my outfit, I finally replaced my leggings this weekend (my old ones got torn apart when I fell down the stairs at school last year). Anyways... I love them they are much more comfortable than my old ones. Paired it with some pink jewelry and flats to dress it up a bit!

First Day Of School

Thursday, August 8, 2013

Today was my last FIRST day of school. It was totally different driving to school this morning and getting to leave early. Probably the worst thing is the light is so short so there was a huge line so we were late.
Here is a picture:

So I decided I would make a post about some options for the first day. My friends from my some of my other posts Rachel, and Bailey both made one's for me and wrote small descriptions of how they put the outfit together!

Me:

I had my sister help me pick out my outfit. I picked out my new turquoise shirt from target. I totally couldn't find a pair of shorts to go with it and my sister finds my lace shorts! It was meant to be. I then topped it off with my leopard flats and some gold jewelry!

Rachel:

Rachel says, "I started out with the tank, then matched the shorts to an under laying color in the top. I went with converse to make the look 'sporty' and accessorized with shells, wooden beads, and a pendant to top it off."

Shirt- Kohls// Shorts- H&M// Shoes- Converse// Jewelry- Kohls, Wet Seal

Bailey:

Bailey says, "I always look forward to the beginning of the year, especially the first day to roll out a new and super fashionable outfit. After all the first day is the day you meet all your teachers, and any new students in your classes! It is a big day for forst impressions. My back to school outfit this year consisted of a 100% cotton white button down shirt with adorable studs. I chose this particular top because it is super cool (considering it is hot here) yet casual AND a bit fancy. I paired it with a mint blue, high-waisted skaterskirt (also 100% cotton). "

"I decided to go with fairly simple jewelry, so I just dawned a cute pink watch, and a blue beaded bracelet. You can also see the studs on my collar better here."

"Lastly I wore a pair of nude sandals with gold embellishments! I thought it polished of the look very well!"

My Favorite Dress: Part 2

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

My new favorite thing lately has been Skater dresses or an A-Line dress. I have seen them so often on the Youtube channels I subscribe to and Blogs and T.V shows and even just around school.

I have one from awhile ago and I actually got it from Target (go figure). Where I get all my dresses pretty much. Any who, Its just a simple black skater dress. The reason I have been loving them so much is because they always hit the best places on any girl. It accentuates the waist perfectly. They hit either right above my knee or at my knee and are just super comfortable. I personally hope this trend stays for awhile.

This was me during the school year. I paired my dress with a Forever 21+ belt, my Target leopard flats, and my bubble necklace from Charming Charlie!

Here are some other dresses I have been loving from Forever 21+!

1) This is a cute flirty dress you could wear to the movies or on a date! I think blue is really in this year. It's the only color I have been buying lately.

2) The black stripes on the shoulders make this dress a little more edgy and sophisticated than the others. It would go great with some combat boots!

3) TRIBAL PRINT! I have been dying to get my hands on something like this. I love prints like this that add a little touch to an boring outfit.

4) Thought I would throw in one that's a little different than the rest. It's sleeveless like mine but it has this broken glass/galaxy graphic going on which I personally find different!

Fall Is Rising

Sunday, August 4, 2013

Hey!

So this Saturday was the last one being free from school work and such. I decided that my friends and I could go see a movie. It was already 7:30 so finding a good movie that would happen in less tan an hour was pretty hard. Thankfully we picked one called "The Way Way Back" which I had wanted to see for awhile now. The best summer movie you will ever see. It was really gripping and emotional and just plain funny! Definitely recommend it.

Summer is officially coming to a close and fall is approaching. I am excited to wear jeans and leggings again!

So here is a pre-fall outfit welcoming leggings into my wardrobe once again

Skater Skirts & Senior Pictures

Thursday, August 1, 2013

Why hello there!

Saturday is my senior portraits and I figured I would experiment with outfits to find the right few for my pictures. I will be looking back at these photos for years so I want to make the right decision.

I found one of my old chambray shirts from Forever 21+ and this new skater skirt I got from there too. Paired it with my new jewelry from a boutique in San Fran and some leopard pointed toe flats! After I put it on it was definitely going on my list of outfit contenders for the pictures.

One of the things I things I think of when I am taking pictures or going to get portraits done is prints. I always used to think stripes were where it's at when getting school pictures. Totally wrong. The camera focuses on that pattern. I have learned that patterns make you either look bigger than you are or give you a weird shape on camera. At least this is what I have picked up over the years. So instead I like to do neutral colors or just solid shirts and bottoms so then the camera doesn't focus in on the pattern making you look huge. Instead I try to dress up the outfit or complete it with jewelry or a patterned shoe!
