Few Of My Favorite Things

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Hey all!

Just wanted to do a short post about some of my favorite items of clothing I have been loving to wear in the colder weather.

Of course I have to mention wearing olive in the fall since its one of my favorite colors to wear during the season. I paired it with my comfiest of sweaters. It is the softest thing I own. No matter how many times I wash it it is still as soft as when I bought it. Then to keep me a little warmer since it is 30-40 degrees out ( Just a bit chilly in my opinion. Just a bit.) I got my favorite, and only sadly, leather jacket. To top off this look I got my necklace that has some olive colors to make the whole look complete. Not to mention my favorite black booties that I wear 90% of the time during winter.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and friends and fun and laughter! :)
I know for me this one with be the first time I wont be home for Thanksgiving and be spending it with other family but it is still really hard being away from them for the holidays.

Changing Leaves & Layers

Saturday, November 22, 2014

Hey all!

Be careful out there today because its still a little rainy and foggy out but not near as bad as yesterday. I hope you all are doing well!

College has been crazy getting ready for our Christmas concert, plus I am doing costumes for our children show Velveteen Rabbit which premieres the 1st and 2nd of December at 7 in the Brown Center. It is coming up so fast! So much work has been put into this show and I am excited to see it come to life. Speaking of premieres did anyone else go see Mockingjay Pt 1???? IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! Let me know what you thought of it. I definitely want to read the book again because there was some things I could not remember for the life of me. But overall everything in it was just perfection as usual and Jennifer Lawrence was just aghhh amazing. Go see it you will love it!

It has been getting a little colder down here and it even snowed! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my post of the snow. It was fun for a bit but after a day I was over it because I slipped on some ice... That hurt just a little. Again be careful in these weird weather changes.

Hope you enjoy this layered outfit!

Hey all!

Thought I would bring back one of my favorite segments I did on here!

I found this photo of one of my favorite bloggers not that long ago. Click here to read the post. She is such an amazing person and I hope to meet her some day. For a curvy women she knows how to really be confidant and test the limits of fashion.

I had some items similar to what shes wearing but I forgot to change my shoes because I was doing another outfit the same day and left them back at my house oops! Just pretend there are leopard flats there.

I hope you guys enjoy!

Wish-List

Hey all!

Man it is pretty darn cold outside today. Maybe 30 degrees means I can finally bust out my winter coat!!

Thought I'd share a little Wishlist with you guys! I know it's not even near December and we haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet but it will be here before we know it!

So let's get started! I found these boots (of course they're Sperry's) on Pinterest and immediately fell in love. They would be perfect for trekking to my classes in the thick snow. I also have had my eye on this Kendra Scott necklace for awhile and noes the perfect time to ask the gracious Saint Nick. Not to mention the fur vest and gorgeous blanket scarf to keep me warm this winter. I have to mention the perfume because let's be honest we all want to smell wonderful right? (Just agree because you should) This Katy Perry perfume smells luscious. You have to spray it to believe it. And look at that coffee mug! Doesn't that just describe everyone's Monday morning?? I'm not a coffee drinker but I sure love some hot cocoa and tea in the morning before classes. Last but not least you are probably wondering why the sewing machine? Well I'm glad you asked. Since I am helping with costumes in the theatre department and it is needed for my major I thought I'd put it on here!

And there you have it folks! A little Wishlist/what I have been admiring from afar list!!!

Hope you enjoyed! Stay warm.

One Night Abroad

Hey all!

Long time no see! I hope people are still reading my blog. I apologize for not posting more often. Between school, technology issues and personal matters a lot has happened in the past few weeks.

Including being given an opportunity to write a post for a company called: Smartling. It is an online translation technology company and they love languages, traveling, fashion and different types of culture. They love my blog so much they asked for me to share an outfit worn to a place of my choosing, what food I would eat and etc.

If I could go anywhere in the world I would love to visit Venice, Italy. Not only is the language beautiful but I have always been fascinated by their culture and food and even the architecture. The restaurant I would want to visit is Antiche Carampane. It is considered one of the oldest trattorias(simple restaurant) in the city. They have traditional cooking, serve fresh fish, and handmade pastries. Sounds like a good authentic Italian restaurant to me!

Something I read up on about Venice is the people there really like politeness. Including what you dress. you can actually receive a fine from wearing beachwear through the town. Showing skin like wearing no shirts is a sign of disrespect. So I took that into consideration.

Necklace- Rue 21// Lipstick- Maybelline (Shocking Coral)

I wanted to wear something very fashionable but in a way reflected Italy. My skirt I think says it all. It has this amazing design and captures the essence of how breathtaking Italy is with it's crystal blue water and beautiful sunsets. Great for walking around the town in and go to a nice dinner!

I am horrible at charades so as for the language barrier? I am glad I have my handy dandy iPhone. Where I can just pull up Smartling on the fly!  Their software translates websites and apps to make translations easier and more convenient . It really is a great website and breaks that language barrier that too many of us would have over seas.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post because I know I had fun writing about it!

Visit Smartling here: http://www.smartling.com/

Enjoy!

Malori
