The Wait Is Over

Saturday, September 28, 2013

Some things in life are worth waiting for. But this week I absolutely couldn't wait to get my package in the mail. I ordered Nume curling iron and the vintage flat iron. If you aren't familiar with Nume they are this nice quality hair tools!

I got an amazing deal and couldn't be happier. I love the packaging it came in. It was so cute!

I got the giraffe vintage flat iron and the pink clip less 25mm wand.

I also had a very busy hectic week. So I had my friend take a picture of my outfit. Kind of reminded me of Halloween almost because of my sweaters orange and black flecks and my orange necklace!

Simple Style

Monday, September 23, 2013

When I am totally not in the mood to dress up or dress down the first thing I think of to put on is this Chambray top. I am in love with this one from Old Navy.

You really want to pick one with a bit of room so you aren't constricted and there isn't buttons flying open. That would be bad and I have been there. I'm glad I found this one from Old Navy because they are true to their size!

Chambray for me will always be my favorite shirt to throw on with leggings and sandals and call it good. You can pair it with pretty much anything (except for denim the same color).

Here is a simple look I put together since Phoenix is starting to get somewhat cooler here I went with some leggings with crosses on them. And some booties I am going to love this fall! I then paired it with some statement jewelry.

Enjoy!

Must Have's For Fall

Saturday, September 21, 2013

Hello there!

I think you have noticed a pattern... That I really want it to be fall already. Arizona weather is weird. I hate the heat. But I love when it's fall and winter here. It is literally the perfect temperature out and there is always that nice breeze! Ooh I can't wait.

So I decided to show what I am most excited about this fall clothing wise and what is going to be a must have this year!

1) These Old Navy raglan sweaters are perfect for the cooler days outside. An you can definitely later them with an oxford button down or a chambray top. I have been obsessed with graphic tees so these are perfect to transition from summer to fall!

2) I also found these cardigans and light weight sweaters. They add more dimension than just a plain colored sweater or cardigans. The sweaters can be layered over dresses or tucked underneath a skater skirt. You can also layer both with chambray oxford button downs too. The cardigans can dress up and outfit and the patches on the elbows are so in right now!

3) I cannot tell you how long I have been wanting some sort of flannel shirt but not look like a cowgirl. And I think I found one! Again these are both from Old Navy. They are perfect for layering or pairing with a statement necklace. Preferably with a pearl necklace in my opinion.

4) Some pants I have been also loving for fall are dark jeans, pleather, and long pencil skirts. The first two are from Forever 21+ and the skirt is Old Navy. Forever 21+ is probably the best place to order jeans or leggings if you are curvy. Pleather is going to be big this fall too from what I have been seeing in the fall collections. They go with a lot of things and I love how they feel. The skirt can go with a large sweater. It can also be layered with chambray or plaid shirt underneath a sweater.

5) You probably guessed it. More pleather!!! I am in love with this sweater. Anything where there is leather on the shoulders, long sleeve, and/or short sleeves.

6) Now here are some shoes I think will be popular for fall. Pointed toe flats are totally a must. I love the way they make my feet slender since I do have wide and big feet already. Then there is short booties like short cowboy boots or lace booties! I'm in love with both of these one from target the other old navy. They can pretty much go with anything. And lastly brown riding boots. These will always be a huge look every season. You can dress them up or down with jeans and they keep you warm during the colder days!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Feeling The Blue

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

I'm not going to lie I was so excited for the new update for the iPhone IOS7 to come out. I have now set it up and am actually not that in love with it. Iam having fun figuring everything out. For starters I am not a huge fan of the calander. It used to have a list, for each day you clicked on, of the days events. Now it goes by time. I don't care for that. And the messaging system reminds me of when I had the android. Minor things but I love all the colors and apps and the clearer camera!

Anyways I have recently been loving bright blue colors. And have been falling in love with this shirt I've had. I never could pair it with a lot of things because it's blue and I never like putting blues with blacks. But I do like it together with this skater skirt!

Hope everyone's week is awesome!!

Nothing Flat About Flats

Saturday, September 14, 2013

I think the title says enough. I have quite a few posts with these shoes in them.

Can you blame me? They are adorable. You would think that because they are pointy it hurts my feet. Well yes it does hurt because they are flats but I feel like if you go up one size it makes it better.

I am in love with this style of shoe nowadays. They are so stylish and different than other flats. They also go great with boyfriend jeans and add that with a flannel. Tons of outfit combinations to choose from with these!

Expect to see them in future posts!

Looking Forward To Fall

Thursday, September 12, 2013

If you live in Arizona you know what I'm talking about with this heat. It is so hot all the time so I am definitely excited for the fall clothes. I love jeans and scarfs and sweaters.

This post was suppose to be about transitioning an outfit from summer to fall but because of the rain and downpour that isn't going to happen.

Instead I have this outfit that reminds me of fall a lot because its soo lightweight and not that heavy which is perfect for the warm weather here. I also saw some pictures from Pinterest I love for fall and definitely will try out!!

I love the fall color scheme of the scarf and the pants. And I love the brown riding boots. Always in style for fall!

I have never tried this combo before but I am willing to this year. I think it'd be greatly paired with a bun and a bold lip too!!

First College Visits

Sunday, September 8, 2013

Last week was the busiest I have had in a long time. I left Sunday night on a 15 hour trip to Whitchita, Kansas to visit Friends University and Cowley County Community College. These were actually my first college visit/tours. It was super neat! We stopped in Winslow where we snapped this pic!!

We got to Whitchita on Monday and sayed with my aunt and uncle who live there! We went to this super cute little brick oven pizza resturant.

Our visit to Friends was Tuesday morning at 9. It was such a beautiful campus. I think the tour guide said Friends was built in 1890s? My dad went there so it was pretty fun for him to just look around and see the buildings. He said a lot of them had changed since he went there. Sure enough when we went into the dorm and art center it was totally new and improved.

I really enjoyed the visit an getting to meet the performing arts directors. They seemed very interested in what I had to say. Which happened to be my favorite part that everyone was really friendly and thrilled to meet you!

Wednesday we had our visit at Cowley an I got to stay with my cousins and my dads brother who works there. I have seen the gym plenty of times since he is the basketball coach but never the campus.

Again it was such a pretty campus and the people were really friendly. The admissions was really helpful and answered all my questions. As did the student admissions tour guide. The music department is phenomenal. They know what they are talking about.

I'm sure you are wondering what are you majoring in Malori? Well I am glad you asked. I will most likely try to major in Fashion and Apparel Designs. Which unfortunately neither college has as a degree. I know I'll find something though!
