Obsession

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Hey all!

So I have an obsession. It is these pants from Target. They are becoming my life and challenging to style. I cant help but love the design because it has the 3 colors that I typically am drawn to: Pink, Black, and White.

After I saw the design I knew I needed them in my life. They are SO comfortable and soft I want to live in them. I know we all have those sweatpants in our lives that are our best friends after a long day. These pants are flowy enough for this Spring & Summer so my sweatpants are out and Palazzo Pants are in!

Really go get you some I promise you will love them as if they were your child! Let me know if you buy a pair, because I definitely want some neutral color and not patterned ones that are somewhat cheap.

Enjoy!

Malori

How To Dress Up A Tee

Hey all!

I think we all need one of those "little black tee's" in our life. I have totally been loving this Spring dressing up just a plain shirt. Yours can have writing on it or a symbol or even be a plain cotton tee. I choose this one from Old Navy. It definitely became one of my favorites to layer with and dress up or down an outfit!

Here are some tips:

1) COLOR
I definitely recommend to add some color to your tee. Depending on the color it will definitely make you happier and brighter to others. IT also doesn't make you look as frumpy as wearing all black or the same palette of colors.

2) JEWELRY
This is definitely a must. If you want to wear jeans with your shirt you can always opt to a gorg statement necklace as your color. Or even layering necklaces will make you look fancier than you feel! OR you could have a dainty necklace and have some bold earrings.

3) PATTERN
Now don't be afraid of this one. You can ALWAYS add some pattern to your tee. Whether it be some stripe flats or cheetah sandals or even some colorful booties to spice up the wardrobe. But please don't mix if it isn't meant to be.

Enjoy my tips!

Malori

Effortless Waves

Friday, April 25, 2014

Hey all!

Thought I might mention one of my favorite trends happening this Spring/Summer. WAVY HAIR! Like the most effortless and beachy waves but on shorter hair, since my hair is short.

I love how easy it can pull a laid back outfit together and they look great on everyone. Gabi from Gabifresh definitely rocks it with her edgy and sassy style. Also Kate from All Glammed Up added a braid to her soft curls and it really compliments her sweet style.

I love this muscle tee from Forever 21. It is not only edgy but it says 'Flower City' with these flowers and leaves in the letters which makes it girly too. I paired it with my red flower necklace I got from Rue 21. Obviously my relaxed curly hair really makes my outfit a lot more down-to-earth with a little edginess. Plus it helps that my curls really bring out my ombre!

Enjoy!

Neutral Hues | Chambray

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Hey all!

So I saw one of my favorite blogs post about neutrals and how to balance them and I thought that would be fun to do!

I wish I wore this white collared tank more but now I know it looks great with this skirt. I also am in love with these oxfords from Rue 21. They are this lace crochet material and then the non cut out part is suede. They're perfection.

This outfit is very soft muted colors that really compliment each other and all body types. From my crème shoes to my white shirt and light chambray top everything flows together effortlessly!

Tell me how you style neutral colors!

Enjoy!

Xoxo,
Malori

Styling A Crop Top

Monday, April 21, 2014

Hey all!

So I have noticed (understatement) that crop tops have been ruling the world this year. And although this is hypocritical I hate crop tops. I did for a long time because I thought they did nothing for anyone besides show their belly button.

But... Yes there is a but. I have over come that by buying one for spring to later over maxi dresses, skirts, high waisted shorts, the list goes on.

Here are some photos I found via Pinterest that I love and would try out!

1) I love the turtleneck crop tops. I think they're very stylish especially if you have more toned arms. Paired with a pencil skirt it looks super sleek!

2) Totally love the bra styled crop top. I especially like that this one because of the bright floral pattern. I also like that they're styling the cardigan over the top!

3) Can we all fall in love with the off the shoulders top? Just absolute gorgeousness. This is the typical can't go wrong outfit with a skater skirt.

4) I like this outfit because it has the bra-like top and it's stripe so it pays attention to your hips. Of course paired with colored high waisted shorts and a distressed denim jacket gives it a Edgy look.

Here is my outfit incorporating my crop too and I chose a maxi dress to go under mine. I loved it it was really comfortable even in 97 degree heat.

I added a braid to make it more laid back and boho feel!

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 20, 2014

Hey all!

Hope your Easter was great and spent with family. I know mine is.

This might be random but this week has been agony with my car. Since it has started to be in the 90s obviously with a black car and leather seats it's going to be a tad hot. Well guess what else has decided to not work? My air conditioning... *insert dramatic groan*.

Well beside that.. I have fallen in love with this lipstick. It's the Maybelline Color Vivids. And if you know me you know I am in love with Color Whispers.

I was looking for some brighter colors for the season and summer. I am wearing Vivid Rose and I also bought Shocking Coral. They're both blue undertone which is great because it doesn't make my teeth look really yellow.

What's your favorite lipstick brand?

Also let's take a moment to love my lace oxfords. I found them at Rue21. I really like that store because it reminds me of Charlotte Russe an Forever 21 combined. The shoes are super comfortable and stylish. Maybe it's just me but if you have wide feet big feet and are worried about looking like a clown it depends on the material. Because mine are lace they are thinner material it doesn't make my feet look so big! If you do have larger/wider feet than definitely look into different material oxfords if you're scared of buying them!

Hope you enjoyed!

Xoxo,
Malori

Senior Prom

Friday, April 18, 2014

Hey all!

Thought I would post about my senior prom dress and share some photos of my friends and I!

I went with a big group and we had a great time. We went to dinner and took a party bus to the Renassiance Hotel.

The theme was Casino Royale so there were tons of gambling games an the hotel was very sleek so it went along with the theme really well.

I loved my dress. It was perfect. And I hope I can wear it again someday. I got my jewelry from Charming Charlie. And I reused my shoes from last year. I wanted to do an updo so I just took bobby pins to my hair in a side pony and pinne d them randomly. I definitely recommend tanning a few days before your own dance.

Next post will be about the best self tanners! Enjoy my prom photos and have a great time at yours!

Xoxo,
Malori

Sequin Peplum | Netflix

Sunday, April 13, 2014

Hey all!
I think all us girls can relate to the obsession of Netflix. If it weren't for Netflix I wouldn't have found some great shows. My favorite are House Of Cards, House M.D., Psych, Scandal, Once Upon A Time, The Doctor,  Law And Order: SVU, Burn Notice, Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Revenge, etc. I am sure I'm missing quite a few and I could list movies that I have watched but honestly there are WAY too many to list. But I definitely love documentaries and Netflix has some really good ones like Black Fish, and Loose Change are my favorite.
I think if you aren't careful you could totally get sucked in like I have. For example when
I started watching House or Law and Order or Scandal you just get completely sucked into the story. I definitely recommend some of these shows. I have been watching them for years and they never get old. Sorry for the rant but Netflix is addictive man!
Can we talk about how perfect this shirt is? I always loved Torrid. It definitely sells MY type of style of clothing. They have the edgy, boho, and pattern looks especially during this season. I especially love this shirt because of where it hits my on body. The top of this is sheer and it has this sweetheart part that has a sequin design on it.
Well I hope you like my outfit! And little rant about my obsession :).
Enjoy!

Malori

Daisy Pattern Trending

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Hey all!

How are you not obsessed with this shirt after just looking at it? Because I totally am. And the skirt is probably my favorite because of the daisy pattern. That pattern really has been trending lately in clothing stores. And it definitely works for the season.

I mostly see it in the black and white color scheme in skirts, shorts, crop tops, leggings, kimonos, etc.

I definitely recommend getting yourself one before the season is over :). Also crop tops have never been hotter. You can wear this one with a skater skirt or even high wasted shorts.

Tag me in a photo on Instagram of how you styled your daisy patterned clothing! Instagram- malorisclark

Enjoy!

Xoxo,
Malori
