New Years Eve Glam

Friday, December 30, 2016

Hey all!

So this post is pretty exciting for me because I have always wanted to get dressed up and go with friends to go out and watch the ball drop or have a small party or gathering and just all look super nice.

I love dressing up for any kind of function and I finally got a sparkly sequin dress for this occasion. I am absolutely in love with it from Fashion to Figure. I have gotten a New Years dress from them before and I loved it so much so this year I wanted to see what they had that was sparkly. Because I live somewhere hot I preferably like wearing something short and breathable and then some heels and gold jewelry. Very minimalist and comfy because I like to move around and dance.

This dress is honestly perfect. The sequin design is exactly what I was looking for. I love long sleeve dresses but its hard to wear them all year so this dresses long sleeve mesh material is a breathable dream. All in all I love this outfit for a fun glam New Years look. What are you doing and what are your plans! I would love to know. Make sure you have a fun and safe night and welcome this fresh start.

Enjoy!

Happy Holidays...

Tuesday, December 27, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! My little brother woke up my family at 4am and was so excited he started jumping on my parents bed. We ended up getting around at 6am which is way too early for my liking but hey it was fun. We all had a great time opening gifts and had lots of laughs. My dad got my mom and my grandma bobble heads that look just like them. And my sister and I got my dad funny card games that we ended up playing later.

The day after Christmas we went to get breakfast together as a family and have been playing games all afternoon. I am so excited because we are going to Flagstaff to play in the snow on Wednesday. And since I have been back living in Arizona the fall/winter time hasn't been the same without changing leaves and some snow!

I am very blessed this holiday to spend it with my family. Santa was very generous to get me a few things like a sewing machine. Which is really cool because I want to make my own shirts! I also got these boots from Santa that I am in loveeeee with. I have quite a few future outfits I have planned with these so be ready to see more of them. I love this outfit because it is just mixing so many colors, its bright, fun, and edgy. And it was perfect to pair my favorite burgundy coat with.

Enjoy!

Let's Sleigh

Hey all!

ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!! I decided to do something different and take some photos by my family Christmas Tree. Bless my mother and sister for putting up with me and taking my photos during the holidays you are much appreciated.

My little brother is counting down the hours until Santa arrives. He read his letter to Santa out loud to all of us and he says "Dear Santa, I want a Xbox 1 and Team Fortress 3 game, and also I want a puppy for my sister." I thought that was the sweetest thing ever for him to say but I don't think Santa does animals unfortunately ;).

I am excited to post this outfit because I really wanted a velvet or sparkly type dress or romper for Christmas Eve/New Years Eve every year. But I had never found anything I really really loved. But Charlotte Russe is honestly my favorite place for going out/fancy dresses/rompers/skirts. I found this romper AND its holiday emerald green and I fell in love. It's perfect. A tiny bit low cut but its not unflattering at all and still classy.

My plans for today are we are going to my Church's unplugged Christmas Eve service. Then we have some time to kill so we are going to come home and open one gift. Every year we go to dinner at this restaurant called Tanzy. Then we go look at Christmas lights and both of those have become a little tradition and its one of my favorite things we do during the holiday's. Do you guys have any traditions?

I hope you enjoy your festivities and have a very merry Christmas and a happy holidays.

Winter Fashion Trends of 2016
1// 2// 3// 4// 5// 6// 7// 8// 9//

Hey all!

I know it's the end of December and I am kinda late getting this out there but better late than never! I have been seeing so many things trending during the winter time and it makes me so envious since I live in a hot state the coldest it gets is the 50s unless you go up to Flagstaff. Which I do plan on doing that so I can take photos in the snow at least once.

To My Freshmen Self

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Hey all!

Since I am done with the semester I thought I would reflect on this semester compared to my freshmen year. Honestly my freshmen year was a cakewalk compared to this semester. But there are definitely things I would want to change if I had the chance or even just be better informed of when I was 18 and just starting my college experience. Here are some things I wish I would have known my freshmen year:

1) I wish I would have known more about financial aid. I feel like a lot of freshmen get FAFSA and don't know how to use it or they don't realize they need to pay back the loans that they are given after they graduate. The more loans you take out the more debt you could be in. So being just a little more educated in what loans you are signing up for could really save you in the long run. The people over at Earnest are really helpful if you need help refinancing a loan, or if you're eligible to receive one. I definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for loans are receiving more information on what type of loans to apply for!

2) Your grades really do matter. Even though you might want to go out on the weekend with friends during the week you have to make the time to study. Because if you don't want to be in debt with loans then there is always scholarships you can apply for. And the more you study the better grades you will have and the more scholarships you will receive.

3) Sleep and and a free workout center is your best friend. I can't tell you how many times I found myself sleeping in the library, practice room, or in a chair in between classes because I didn't get enough sleep at night. I also had free access to the workout center on my campus. I wish I would have gone there more often to let off steam during my free time. Getting plenty of sleep at night and working out keeps you happy and healthy and I was definitely tired and cranky most of the time.

4) Eat all of your meals. I know that it is easy to just skip a meal but don't forget that you have a meal plan and you're paying for all the meals and when you skip those meals then you're wasting your money. I know that not all cafeteria food is great but it saves you money from eating out since you are already paying for those meals.

5) Go to more sporting events. I know I said that studying and getting good grades is important but so is making sure you didn't miss out on some great memories. Do you wanna go to college and not have any stories to tell to your family or friends? Going to your schools basketball game or football game will be some of the coolest things you'll go to on campus.

Overall don't forget that college is suppose to be some of the best experiences of your life! Go out with friends, stay out late (sometimes), laugh until you cry, tailgate before the game, make tons of friends, and make the most of your time. Studying and getting good grades are so important so don't lose sight of your degree and dreams but also don't forget to have fun and make some memories.

Thank you for reading!

Let's Stay In

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Hey all!

I AM OFFICIALLY ON BREAK!! I just finished my last final on Tuesday and I couldn't be happier to be home and enjoying some time with my family. Although I really love being home there are a few other things I love to do during the holidays.

For example I love wearing an oversized sweater, patterned Christmas leggings, and some fuzzy socks. This is a must loungewear during the winter for me and I happened to get all of these items at Target. I also really love hot cocoa with a holiday movie or start a new show to binge watch during the break. The people atLuma, who created a secure customized surround wifi network for your home made me my own personalized watch list to share with ya'll. These might not all be holiday related but they are my favorite to watch.
New Girl is one of my favorite shows to watch with friends it always makes me laugh and its even great to just have in the background. Comment on this post what your favorite thing to watch during the holidays, holiday drink, or comfy leggings you like to wear!

I recently decorated my apartment with my roommate and went ahead and showed some photos. I love how it turned out. Especially during finals it really brightened up the place and made it a happier environment to study! Overall the winter time is my favorite time to stay in and cuddle in some blankets, drink some hot cocoa, and binge watch a show. It is the perfect time to stay in with friends and enjoy their company. Let me know what yo plan on watching this holiday season!

Tis The Season

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are having a great weekend. I just finished running my errands, I got brunch at my favorite breakfast place with a friend, and then I am searching for a holiday dress for a special post. Brunch was much deserved because I just finished 3 big final projects and my hardest final. I have been struggling with this class all year. And it is the most satisfying thing when all your hard work pays off.

I only have one final left and then this semester will officially be over. Guys in all honesty 2016 has not been the best year for me. It has been a struggle and I am extremely thankful for a new year and fresh start. I am also excited to go home and see family and just have a break from school. It is nice being closer and I get to go home more often but between school and work I am mostly stuck at my apartment. But this is my favorite time of year for hot chocolate, family time, and watching White Christmas.

Next week I am doing a post strictly about my lazy holiday plans, wear, and my decor in my apartment. Keep your eyes peeled out for it. But this week I wore this outfit for my works party and I loved it and got so many compliments I knew I had to blog it. I paired my camo button down with a black sheer top and gold studded detail. I also wore my FAVORITE black ripped jeans. I seriously can't stop wearing them. Then I added some gold details for jewelry and decided on my brown booties. Overall I really like how seamless the outfit is and just flows well together.

Enjoy!
