How I Decorated & First Giveaway!

Friday, May 30, 2014

Hey all!

Thought I would show you how I decorated for my grad party this past Saturday!

Well that and I just want to show off my cool photos I got from from my new camera!!

My sister and her friends made these cupcakes and they were cute and great to eat!

I catered from Wildflower. Wow the food was really amazing.

We had this little table in the hallway that showcased pictures of me and my blanket my grandma made me of all my high school shirts!

Here is my cap and gown!!!! I loved that the girls got to wear white because I didn't really care for the blue.

We got these fun lanterns and Pom poms to decorate where all the food was.

My mom and I thought it would be fun to hang up all my high school photos! And what better way than with gold clothspins.

I wanted to use something for the guests to sign so I remembered who came. An my mom came up with river rocks and people putting messages on them and putting them in a jar! We found this really neat one from Joanne's.

My sister did these jars. She put sheets of music around mason jars and used modge podge to make them stay. Then we put jute yarn around them.

Outside was the drink table and the table cloth was a little long so my aunt and I had an idea to take the jute and put It around the ends to make a bow!

These tassels were pretty much the whole theme. I used these as my color palette. So if you hadn't guessed my colors were teal, pink, and gold!

This was the desert/fruit table! I forgot to take photos but there were these little chalkboard signs like the one in the cupcake all over labeling the food.

Now on to the giveaway! I am giving away a 25$ gift card to target!!! I am celebrating 1 year this Friday and 5000 views. It's really exciting to me that that many people have seen what I write about in such a short amount of time and I plan on writing even more this next year because I love it.

So here is a small giveaway that starts this Friday. Don't forget to come back to this post to keep entering.

If I Were At The Beach

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Hey all!

I am really wanting some colder whether right now. It doesn't feel like summer but this heat sure is changing my mind.

Here is an outfit I would totally wear to the beach or on a stroll in California!
I wanted some color so I found this orange shirt and it has these slits and cutouts that make it real unique. I wore jeans because if I was in sunny Cali then there would be a very nice breeze which would make me a little chilly. I the. Accessories like any other true Californian (is that a word?) and had a straw fedora hat and a patterned scarf. Minimal jewelry is key so I just put on my watch and a tan bag.

Sunday, May 25, 2014

Hey all!

So I have officially graduated high school. Yay!!!!! I'm so incredibly happy and overwhelmed with joy.

I can't wait to go on to a new chapter in life and make some new memories at college this fall.

I have had unbelievable support from my friends and family to do anything I set my mind to and I don't know what I would have done without that these 4 years.

Here are a few photos from graduation and some of my family and friends. The first picture is actually me my last day of high school. We had a senior spirit week and the last day was future Friday. So I wore my college shirt!

Enjoy!

3 Summertime Outfit's

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Hey all!

I am getting ready for summer and have been pretty unsure what to wear. And if you're like me you sift through Pinterest or Instagram to find something that will be cool enough for the hot summer heat.

I have made three outfits today to give you some ides for this summer of maybe what to stick to when you're in a jam and need to change fast!

Enjoy!

Casual-
Here is something real easy and breezy to wear out and about on errands or to the park. Minimal jewelry because if you're like me then to much makes me feel like I am chocking and sweat even more during the summer. A tank is always a must and this one includes two of my favorite things: Tigers, and florals! Anything fringe has been in style and that's a must for this summer, and these bleached acid wash jeans. These sandals have a larger band and are definitely a color statement with the gold.

Semi-Nice~Summertime Outfit
Semi-Nice-
This outfit is for if you're going out with friends or going to a movie anything where you don't want to wear a pair of shorts and t-shirt to. I paired a lace shirt with a chambray that you can roll the sleeves up to look more casual. I wanted some color but not a lot so I paired it with some pink jeans that you can also roll up so you aren't as hot. You know I love pattern so I to mix it up with some leopard sandals. Finally to bring the whole look together, pair a pendant or an initial necklace.
Dressy~Summertime Outfit
Dressy-
This outfit is for going out to a party or on a date to a nice restaurant. I have been loving pink's and coral's lately and summer is a great time to wear a lot of color! So I took this dress from Asos that has a small shell & sequin pattern on the bodice. The color is so bright and just plain gorgeous. I wanted a statement necklace so I took this one that had the colors I wanted and it's gold. Then found a bracelet that it kind of chunky but also elegant. It's not matchy-matchy with the necklace but  it goes with it. Finally a chunky heel has been in style lately so I completed the look with a nude chunky heel!

Graduation | Party Ideas

Hey all!

I know that we all are getting into Grad party's now and some of us are decorating! Here are some ideas on what to maybe get. Tassels and Pom poms are just plain adorable and girly enough for a 18 year old girls party to liven up the place. These little labels are perfect to label all the food and sweets you've set out. The mason jars are perfect to use as vases! They're not only a little vintage but easily paintable and chic for a grad party.

Hope you enjoy these ideas! A little house cleaning things... I will be doing my giveaway on the 30th and have no idea what to get for you all. If you have suggestions let me know over any social medias. I will definitely post photos from my graduation party here because I am getting a really nice camera!!!! You might just see a few things from here in the photos! ;)

Enjoy!

Met Gala

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Hey all!

I know I am totally behind on this but I thought I would share some of my favorite dresses from the Met Gala this past week.

I totally love the more toned down nudes and blushing pink dresses. But I also made room for some bling bling I dresses too. Idina Menzel looked so stunning in the white gown. I love watching the red carpet stuff on t.v. To see all the celebrities and their dates and what they're wearing. Some are outrageous but others are super classic and stunning. Plus I just want to go to another event like prom where you see all your friends and get to mingle with people you never see! And wear an amazing gown ;).

Let me know what your favorites were! Hashtag me #awalkthroughmycloset or #malorisclark and I'll look on twitter or Instagram!

Enjoy!
