Pretty In Pink

Thursday, July 31, 2014

Hey all!

Actually after making the title of this my dress isn't that pink its a coral. :) Any who this week has been SO long. Yesterday at work someone spilled their slushie and just LEFT. THEY LEFT. How rude is that!? It made me so mad that they just walked away and left the drink for my manager to clean it up and damage an item. Like does no one have common courtesy to at least throw away the cup and straw?

Sorry for the rant! But it was one of those days at work. But on to this outfit I just fell in love with because I have been loving this little chevron dress I got at Target because it is just so girly and me. I just got this shirt as well from Forever 21 and I love that I can layer it over things or just wear it with high-waisted anything. then I have these gorgeous wedges that are So. Comfortable. Oh my goodness I'm going to wear them all the time in college. Get them now because there are only a few left so click here to buy them.

Enjoy my outfit!

Road Trip

Monday, July 28, 2014

Hey all!

Hope you had an amazing weekend! Because I had a wonderful vacation seeing my family and having a break from work.

First off right when we got to the lake house it was a Ford and Ram expo with everyone's trucks. Tell me this doesn't make you laugh?

The lake was nice and each day was really breezy nice weather. We all got just a little bit sunburned each day. My sister took these gorgeous photos of the sunset and photos of my cousin! She's very photogenic :).

Overall it was a much needed vacation and it was a LONG drive. Wow I can't believe my sister and I drove my car 18 hours total ( 2 days don't worry we didn't do it in one hit). I also got to meet my future roomie! She is so cool and friendly I can't wait to be living with her for the school year. Here are two photos from instagram in case you missed it.

And then the road home we decided to get home in 1 day which we did woohoo! I drove most of the way home yesterday nigh getting us to the house at 1:45am. There were horrible storms this whole weekend and I know that there was a lot of damage done to the streets so everyone be safe!

Enjoy!

If I Worked In A Office

Hey all!

Hope you all are enjoyin the last of your summer because I am! This post is kind of a short and sweet. 1) because I'm with family and 2) I just don't have the time this week to take good photos or any at all.

I thought this photo was a must because I have been wanting to post some NICER photos of outfits like for dinners or parties or events :)

Love how everything is really simple and put together in this outfit. Pencil skirts are just so comfortable and easy to work with. Also it's easy to pair with anything if you want to be casual with a tee or a little fancier with a button down or chambray top. Throw on some fun heels and you're work ready!

Enjoy!

Back To Basic's

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Hey all!

I made it to Kansas today! I am so happy that we all made it safe and sound without any delays or anything. My sister and I drove my car while my mom drove hers with my brother. She was such a trooper driving by herself for two day without a reliever. I also am meeting my roommate Anna tomorrow! I am so excited because she seems really cool and that was one of my worries is that I would get a roommate that wanted nothing to do with me. So I apologize in advance if I don't write many posts this week because I will have bad service and will be with family.

Today I decided to do a small post on things I think are a must when starting a wardrobe, or basic's if you will.

1) Chambray (Old Navy)- I know what a surprise right? I love me a good button down shirt. And what other than a chambray shirt. Old Navy is by far my favorite store that sells button down chambray shirts. They put the buttons in the CORRECT spots unlike other brands who put the buttons in the middle of the chest area and then there are spaces between the chest area if you're busty.

2) Boyfriend Jeans (Forever 21+)- I love how laid back these are. Definitely a must in any woman on the go's wardrobe! I love Forever 21's plus clothing especially the jeans. They are always true to size, stretchy, and last a long time.

3) Basic Top (Forever 21+)- A basic white top is always a must in my book. You can use it to layer to dress up an outfit or with smaller jewelry and a pair of cutoff shorts to be super casual!

4) Brown Boots (American Eagle)- I love any kind of boots during winter that I can tuck some jeans into. Especially brown because most of my wardrobe is neutral so they go with everything. American Eagle always makes some of the best quality boots and they last a long time. I've had 2 pairs for over 2 years!!

5) Graphic Tee (H&M)- Really it can be any graphic tee but I really like this one. It has the big red lips and I remember when that was super iconic this year (to me it still is). Definitely brings some color to an outfit.

6) LBD (H&M)- It isn't a post without mentioning a gorgeous Little Black Dress. And this one is just stunning with all the lace.

7) Flats (Old Navy)- I love wearing flats when transitioning to fall. And these are the perfect ones to do so. They're leopard and pointy toed!!! Plus I am buying these to replace my ones from Charlotte Russe.

8) Striped Tee (Wet Seal)- Fell in love with this shirt as soon as I saw it online. I like that it is so simple but the back has this sheer triangle cut out which makes it so unique!

9) Statement Nexklace (Francesca's)- Of course I had to mention a statment piece because I don't think any person who is starting out should be without a good necklace to finish off an outfit. One with color is even better.

Hope you enjoyed!

Sequin Street Style

Sunday, July 20, 2014

Hey all!

Sorry for the very late night posts lately but I have been working long hours so I try to post when I get off of my shift.

I wanted to put together an outfit that would be a lot of fun to wear out to dinner, with friends, a party, etc. A classic out on the town look! I wore my black sequin peplum top and paired it with black pants so I can look slimmer from head to toe and my peplum top hits me in the right spot accentuating my waist. I added some fun colors with my accessories. My coral clutch and magenta bracelet really bring out all the pink shades in my necklace and bring the whole outfit together.

Hope you enjoyed.

Malori

Boho

Hey all!

I know I keep talking about leaving for college, but I'll mention it one more time. I decided it would be fun to do one more post and photo shoot with my bestie, Rachel, before I leave. She's been in one other post, back in July of last year!

I went with a bohemian theme, but kept it true to my style. There's no need to go all out to get a certain look. It's called "inspiration" for a reason.

Rachel also went along with the bohemian trend. You can still see her style through the structured-ness of her leather shorts, which I l-o-v-e.

After we got back to my house we "walked" through my closet (haha puns...) and I started packing my clothes for college. There's so much empty space and I'm only half done!

All in all, we had an amazing time taking photos despite the ridiculously hot weather. Ahh the struggle over beauty!

Enjoy this post!

Malori

Moving

Hey all!

Just wanted to show you a few things I have picked up for college already. I bought this bedding from Target and love it. Mine has grey sheets and they're so soft!

I can't wait to set everything up and take photos!!!  I also have tons of decor and hang up things to put up. I really liked this etsy one about music. :)

Enjoy!

Pink Cutouts

Sunday, July 13, 2014

Hey all!

This week and weekend has certainly gone by fast. This is one of my last weeks in Arizona. I am already counting down till I go to Kansas next week to see family, and then I come back for my last round of good byes. It feels as if only yesterday I was preparing for my senior year and now I am a freshmen yet again. Going to a new school to thousands of miles away from my family to go get an education and make new friends and memories. Sounds like fun right?

Anyways this weekend I was by myself at the house which was interesting. Learned that I talk to myself a lot and to my dog. My sister had a softball tournament in Flagstaff and I stayed behind because I thought I had work. They just got back today so its nice to not have as much peace and quiet. I also noticed that my favorite flats are now ripped apart in the sole and are about to break in half. :( But hey it gives me an excuse to get new shoes!

Enjoy my outfit for the day!

Peasant Tops

Saturday, July 12, 2014

Hey all!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I am enjoying mine by having a Harry Potter marathon. :) I know its very exciting. But I actually went with one of my good friends to her Senior Photo session. She looked so beautiful and it was really fun to go help her with makeup and hair and just be there for moral support! We both had a lot of fun because the studio asks you your favorite type of music and every song was something Rachel ( my friend) and I knew ALL the lyrics to and we danced... a lot. I can't wait to see them. If she gives me some of the photos I'll post them on here.

Today I went back my love, peasant tops. I miss wearing peasant tops, and blouses. I wore them a lot in the beginning of the year but it was colder and fall time. So I decided to break them out again for these super fun coral shorts that I have! I also have been loving my hair in this really soft wave/curls.

Enjoy!

Throwback

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

Hey all!

Thought I would do a little throwback to Graduation and what I wore for it. I absolutely love love love this dress. There are so many possibilities for outfits because of all the color in the dress. There are corals, turquoise, blue, gray, neon yellow, etc. Not to mention the cool arrows going up and down really flatter my figure making me appear slimmer and taller! I could wear brown, tan, black, or any colored shoe for that matter and it would look great ( to an extent). I wore these shoes from target that are tanish brown and I LOVE them. They are so cute and versatile. I got this coral necklace from Francesca's and it went perfectly with my dress. It really completed my look for Graduation.

I didn't wear this bracelet or have a purse for that evening but I wanted to throw both in to finish the outfit and give it more of a "going out" kind of look. I love it and hope you guys do too!
