New Years Eve Glam

Friday, December 30, 2016

Hey all!

So this post is pretty exciting for me because I have always wanted to get dressed up and go with friends to go out and watch the ball drop or have a small party or gathering and just all look super nice.

I love dressing up for any kind of function and I finally got a sparkly sequin dress for this occasion. I am absolutely in love with it from Fashion to Figure. I have gotten a New Years dress from them before and I loved it so much so this year I wanted to see what they had that was sparkly. Because I live somewhere hot I preferably like wearing something short and breathable and then some heels and gold jewelry. Very minimalist and comfy because I like to move around and dance.

This dress is honestly perfect. The sequin design is exactly what I was looking for. I love long sleeve dresses but its hard to wear them all year so this dresses long sleeve mesh material is a breathable dream. All in all I love this outfit for a fun glam New Years look. What are you doing and what are your plans! I would love to know. Make sure you have a fun and safe night and welcome this fresh start.

Enjoy!

Happy Holidays...

Tuesday, December 27, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! My little brother woke up my family at 4am and was so excited he started jumping on my parents bed. We ended up getting around at 6am which is way too early for my liking but hey it was fun. We all had a great time opening gifts and had lots of laughs. My dad got my mom and my grandma bobble heads that look just like them. And my sister and I got my dad funny card games that we ended up playing later.

The day after Christmas we went to get breakfast together as a family and have been playing games all afternoon. I am so excited because we are going to Flagstaff to play in the snow on Wednesday. And since I have been back living in Arizona the fall/winter time hasn't been the same without changing leaves and some snow!

I am very blessed this holiday to spend it with my family. Santa was very generous to get me a few things like a sewing machine. Which is really cool because I want to make my own shirts! I also got these boots from Santa that I am in loveeeee with. I have quite a few future outfits I have planned with these so be ready to see more of them. I love this outfit because it is just mixing so many colors, its bright, fun, and edgy. And it was perfect to pair my favorite burgundy coat with.

Enjoy!

Let's Sleigh

Hey all!

ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!! I decided to do something different and take some photos by my family Christmas Tree. Bless my mother and sister for putting up with me and taking my photos during the holidays you are much appreciated.

My little brother is counting down the hours until Santa arrives. He read his letter to Santa out loud to all of us and he says "Dear Santa, I want a Xbox 1 and Team Fortress 3 game, and also I want a puppy for my sister." I thought that was the sweetest thing ever for him to say but I don't think Santa does animals unfortunately ;).

I am excited to post this outfit because I really wanted a velvet or sparkly type dress or romper for Christmas Eve/New Years Eve every year. But I had never found anything I really really loved. But Charlotte Russe is honestly my favorite place for going out/fancy dresses/rompers/skirts. I found this romper AND its holiday emerald green and I fell in love. It's perfect. A tiny bit low cut but its not unflattering at all and still classy.

My plans for today are we are going to my Church's unplugged Christmas Eve service. Then we have some time to kill so we are going to come home and open one gift. Every year we go to dinner at this restaurant called Tanzy. Then we go look at Christmas lights and both of those have become a little tradition and its one of my favorite things we do during the holiday's. Do you guys have any traditions?

I hope you enjoy your festivities and have a very merry Christmas and a happy holidays.

Winter Fashion Trends of 2016
1// 2// 3// 4// 5// 6// 7// 8// 9//

Hey all!

I know it's the end of December and I am kinda late getting this out there but better late than never! I have been seeing so many things trending during the winter time and it makes me so envious since I live in a hot state the coldest it gets is the 50s unless you go up to Flagstaff. Which I do plan on doing that so I can take photos in the snow at least once.

To My Freshmen Self

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Hey all!

Since I am done with the semester I thought I would reflect on this semester compared to my freshmen year. Honestly my freshmen year was a cakewalk compared to this semester. But there are definitely things I would want to change if I had the chance or even just be better informed of when I was 18 and just starting my college experience. Here are some things I wish I would have known my freshmen year:

1) I wish I would have known more about financial aid. I feel like a lot of freshmen get FAFSA and don't know how to use it or they don't realize they need to pay back the loans that they are given after they graduate. The more loans you take out the more debt you could be in. So being just a little more educated in what loans you are signing up for could really save you in the long run. The people over at Earnest are really helpful if you need help refinancing a loan, or if you're eligible to receive one. I definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for loans are receiving more information on what type of loans to apply for!

2) Your grades really do matter. Even though you might want to go out on the weekend with friends during the week you have to make the time to study. Because if you don't want to be in debt with loans then there is always scholarships you can apply for. And the more you study the better grades you will have and the more scholarships you will receive.

3) Sleep and and a free workout center is your best friend. I can't tell you how many times I found myself sleeping in the library, practice room, or in a chair in between classes because I didn't get enough sleep at night. I also had free access to the workout center on my campus. I wish I would have gone there more often to let off steam during my free time. Getting plenty of sleep at night and working out keeps you happy and healthy and I was definitely tired and cranky most of the time.

4) Eat all of your meals. I know that it is easy to just skip a meal but don't forget that you have a meal plan and you're paying for all the meals and when you skip those meals then you're wasting your money. I know that not all cafeteria food is great but it saves you money from eating out since you are already paying for those meals.

5) Go to more sporting events. I know I said that studying and getting good grades is important but so is making sure you didn't miss out on some great memories. Do you wanna go to college and not have any stories to tell to your family or friends? Going to your schools basketball game or football game will be some of the coolest things you'll go to on campus.

Overall don't forget that college is suppose to be some of the best experiences of your life! Go out with friends, stay out late (sometimes), laugh until you cry, tailgate before the game, make tons of friends, and make the most of your time. Studying and getting good grades are so important so don't lose sight of your degree and dreams but also don't forget to have fun and make some memories.

Thank you for reading!

Let's Stay In

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Hey all!

I AM OFFICIALLY ON BREAK!! I just finished my last final on Tuesday and I couldn't be happier to be home and enjoying some time with my family. Although I really love being home there are a few other things I love to do during the holidays.

For example I love wearing an oversized sweater, patterned Christmas leggings, and some fuzzy socks. This is a must loungewear during the winter for me and I happened to get all of these items at Target. I also really love hot cocoa with a holiday movie or start a new show to binge watch during the break. The people atLuma, who created a secure customized surround wifi network for your home made me my own personalized watch list to share with ya'll. These might not all be holiday related but they are my favorite to watch.
New Girl is one of my favorite shows to watch with friends it always makes me laugh and its even great to just have in the background. Comment on this post what your favorite thing to watch during the holidays, holiday drink, or comfy leggings you like to wear!

I recently decorated my apartment with my roommate and went ahead and showed some photos. I love how it turned out. Especially during finals it really brightened up the place and made it a happier environment to study! Overall the winter time is my favorite time to stay in and cuddle in some blankets, drink some hot cocoa, and binge watch a show. It is the perfect time to stay in with friends and enjoy their company. Let me know what yo plan on watching this holiday season!

Tis The Season

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are having a great weekend. I just finished running my errands, I got brunch at my favorite breakfast place with a friend, and then I am searching for a holiday dress for a special post. Brunch was much deserved because I just finished 3 big final projects and my hardest final. I have been struggling with this class all year. And it is the most satisfying thing when all your hard work pays off.

I only have one final left and then this semester will officially be over. Guys in all honesty 2016 has not been the best year for me. It has been a struggle and I am extremely thankful for a new year and fresh start. I am also excited to go home and see family and just have a break from school. It is nice being closer and I get to go home more often but between school and work I am mostly stuck at my apartment. But this is my favorite time of year for hot chocolate, family time, and watching White Christmas.

Next week I am doing a post strictly about my lazy holiday plans, wear, and my decor in my apartment. Keep your eyes peeled out for it. But this week I wore this outfit for my works party and I loved it and got so many compliments I knew I had to blog it. I paired my camo button down with a black sheer top and gold studded detail. I also wore my FAVORITE black ripped jeans. I seriously can't stop wearing them. Then I added some gold details for jewelry and decided on my brown booties. Overall I really like how seamless the outfit is and just flows well together.

Enjoy!

1//2//3//4//5//6//7//8Holiday Gift Guide
Hey all!

If you are like me then you might need some help picking out gifts or at least just a small list of ideas of what to get your sister, girlfriend, mom, aunt, bestfriend.

So I came up with a few ideas that hopefully help you find the perfect gift or even last minute gift for someone special in your life!

Thankful For...

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had such an amazing time with family and it was incredibly too short. My boyfriend came to visit my family and I and we had a great time. He met some of my best friends we saw Moana and it was SO GOOD. I loved it so much I had to get the soundtrack and the Pentatonix Christmas album as well. My family and I already finished decorating our house with the christmas tree and lights and decor around the whole house.

Then my sister, boyfriend, best friend, and I all went Black Friday shopping.  I finished my Christmas shopping and we got Dutch Bros which I have never had it before. We then went to this retro breakfast place and it was such good food and I actually ran into an old friend while we were out. Then a few days later I went and saw Hacksaw Ridge with one of my other friends and it made me soooo emotional it was so good but we needed something funny after something so heartbreaking so we went back to her house to watch Bad Moms. Finally I went with my boyfriend to his family's house and they made homemade tamales. They were all really nice people and I had a great time. I had a great time all break and enjoyed the time with family and friends.

This outfit is so comfortable. I love the neutrals and how my hat just pops out and makes the whole outfit. I love this skirt and it is just so comfortable and soft. I had to add in my scarf with the hat so it would make everything flow. Finally having a few bracelets, add my cliche Starbucks cup, and fringe booties. If you're wondering what my favorite drink is at the moment it is the Caramel Brulee Late. TRY IT!

I hope you enjoyed this outfit!

#FallFrugalFun

Thursday, November 24, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday's already I know that I am. I am ready to start eating some stuffing, turkey, and some potatoes. But most of all Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday to spend with family and friends. And it is so easy to have fun in inexpensive ways.

Some budget friendly ways that I spend time with my family this holiday is we love playing board games. Whether it be Mouth Gaurd, Jin, Apples to Apples, or Dominoes. We are always gathered together laughing, telling stories, and making tons of memories. If you don't like board games then going to your nearest park and playing some touch football or even going to play mini put put. All of these could be some fun inexpensive ways to spend your holiday! This year we also are using this company called Dream Dinners and they prepare the food for you and you either go in and put it together in bags with a friend or family member and then you can make it at home in less than 15 to 30 minutes. It is inexpensive and saves you money from having to go to the store and pick up a million things you may not even use.

If you need help budgeting I love using Personal Capital's financial software tool. It is a financial software tool that helps you track your personal finances. This way you don't break the bank this holiday and keep on track with your christmas present buying! Click here is you would love to learn more and share the hashtag #FallFrugalFun and tell me about your favorite inexpensive things you do this fall and for Thaknsgiving.

My outfit is also semi on budget. I like to dress up for Thanksgiving but not go out of my way. I fell in love with this pumpkin colored shirt SCREAMS fall. Then I wanted a small edge so I added my liduid leather leggings, and softened the outfit with my ash brown booties. I finished it off with some gold accessories and one of my favorite colorblocked bags from DSW.

Have a wonderful and safe Turkey Day!

The Minimalists Black Ripped Jeans

Friday, November 18, 2016

Hey all!

It is finally the weekend! It has been a rather long and stressful week. Which isn't surprising since next week is Thanksgiving and my boyfriend is flying out to visit my family and I. I cannot tell you how excited and ready I am for a small break from school. You may notice a big change on my blog as I am changing the whole theme and I will address that in my next post I promise!

I am rather excited because I finally bought a pair of ripped black jeans. I am very very very picky about rips. Because I have a long torso and shorter legs jeans hit me rather weird sometimes. So the rips will land on weird places and make me look shorter than I am which is 5'9'. I did find these ones from Rue 21+ and I cannot sop wearing them and I have so many outfits planned.

Today's outfit is rather casual and neutral. This one is for the minimalist out there when they just need to go go go and don't have too much time to worry about if it matches. I am in love with this top and all tops that have the fabric across the chest. I paired it with one of my favorite cardigans from Maurices. Then some sandals since it is still cool enough for that and a few bracelets to call it good.

Enjoy!

//2//3//4//5//6//7//8//
Hey all!

I have been seeing a lot of posts about popular trends or even wish lists for this fall. So I decided I wanted to talk about some of my favorite things that I have seen trending during the season. To be honest most of these are even on my "to get & blog" list.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday, November 12, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you're enjoying your 3 day weekend! I have gotten to spend some quality time with my friends which has been much needed after the past 3 weeks. I only have a month left of the semester and Thanksgiving is in a week and a half. Everything is moving SO fast guys. Which I won't complain about because it gives me an excuse to make more fall/winter outfits!

I have always wanted to go to a pumpkin patch and take those cliche photos I see every blogger post about how the weather/leaves are changing... Meanwhile I live in Arizona and that just doesn't happen. We may have pretty sunsets and mountains but we do not have "fall" or a "winter" since it doesn't really get that cold here.

Regardless I really wanted to take some photos with pumpkins. Bless my mother for being patient with me and taking these photos for me. I ended up not going inside the pumpkin patch because I had to drive back to Tucson. But I am living for this blanket scarf and wearing it as a shawl. Those of you may know that I recently had to get glasses and I don't typically wear them because I am very limited in my editing abilities and can never get that glare off them. Plus I want to show off my eye makeup!

I hope you enjoy this outfit! It is definitely one of my favorites!

Cold Shoulder Tops ft. Lovesick

Friday, November 4, 2016

Hey all,

Thank goodness it is Friday finally!! I hope you guys had a great Halloween. I went with friends to raise awareness for UNICEF and I dressed as Jess from New Girl. I had a great time and we got free donuts! The rest of my week has been really long and I had so many exams and tests happening. I am so ready for a break and for colder weather. It is finally under 85 degrees and getting cooler.

I am sad Halloween is over but we are so close to Thanksgiving and Christmas I can hardly stand it! If you didn't know already those are my favorite holiday's just because of all the time I get to spend with my family and the weather and the layering. So this will hopefully be my last post of me transitioning clothing and it will finally be cool enough for me to layer and do fall outfits!

I love this cold shoulder top from Lovesick. I love how they look on my shoulders. Especially if you are self conscious and don't like tank tops then this is a great happy middle for you. I also have been loving ripped jeans but these ones the holes just keep getting bigger and bigger so that's the only downside. Then I paired some neutrals with it and just love this outfit! Perfect transition into fall!

Enjoy!

White & Pink Accents

Saturday, October 29, 2016

Hey all,

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! I went home this weekend to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday. We went to this seafood place called Peppadeaux's and it was sooooo good. I got this scallops sweat pea risotto and my sister got this crab mac n cheese and it was delicious. Then today my mom and my sister, and I went to get mani/pedi's and we gave my sister her birthday gift early since we wont see her on her real birthday.

I promise to do some more fall outfit's soon. I have a clothing haul coming in and have so many ideas for outfits. I am also going to a pumpkin patch FINALLY and taking some photo's so I promise those cliche photos are coming!

I have seen these flats, or style of flats, that are lace ups that have those gold aglets at the end of the laces. I am living for that trend and I really wanted some that I could really walk around in for work or presentations. I saw a photo recently that was wearing white on white and I loved it. So I decided to recreate it and add my pink cluster necklace and these flats!

I hope you enjoy!

Casual Season's Change

Friday, October 21, 2016

Hey all!

I am back into my normal routine now and am totally having withdrawals from my trip. I definitely miss all my friends that I made out there and was happy to be at one of my best friends wedding. It was beautiful and the venue was gorgeous. I got to go to a few sporting events with some friends and spent my nights up way too late with some of my best friends. I will never forget that trip and it will always be one of my favorites.

But now it's back to the real world! I can't believe we are already in the middle of the semester and October is almost over. I really want to go to a pumpkin patch so if you know of any goodones let me know! Time is just flying by. And as much as I will it to be it is not cold enough here for me to do fall outfits still so I promise I am working on it! But for now here is a cool outfit that is a great transition to fall if you live in a hot state like I do.

Enjoy!

A Wedding Ft. Chic Soul

Sunday, October 16, 2016

Hey all!

So this weekend was pretty special and something I have been looking forward to for months. One of my best friends from college got married to her best friend and I had the opportunity to fly out and be there! The wedding was beautiful and she was stunning. I also got to see a ton of friends and surprised them at the dorms I used to live in. It has been one of the best trips I have ever taken and I won't forget it. However I am exhausted and am fighting sleep in the airport I am writing this in.

I had no clue what I wanted to wear to the wedding but knew it would be colder and it's more fall in Kansas than in Arizona. So I found this plus size boutique online and I loved all the clothes on there were perfect for the weather and they are great quality. I am very impressed with the dress I bought so I will have to order some other things from them. Visit them here to see some of their stuff!

I ended up wearing some different shoes and adding leggings because the dress is a tad short and it's windy there. But I love this outfit and I hope you enjoy!

Fall Favorites

Friday, October 7, 2016

Hey all!

It's been awhile hasn't it! Sorry about that! I was getting accommodated to my new job and a new school and living in an apartment. I love Tucson so far and I miss my Kansas friends terribly but I have seen tons of kids from my high school on campus and it has been nice to catch up. And even make some new friends.

It has been about a month since my last post but I promise to make up for it! I am in love with this outfit. And plan to post a ton of fall outfits this month. You know it's my favorite season. I just needed it to cool out so I wasn't sweating buckets when taking photos. And it is finally cooling out! Plus I am going to Kansas on Thursday for a wedding so I will be taking photos of what I will be wearing on that trip plus my dress from this plus size boutique I ordered from and I can't wait to tell you more about that company!

Anyway back to this outfit. I have never really loved yellow. I am too pale. BUT this mustard yellow blouse is gorgeous. On any skin tone. I love the florals on it and it is just perfect for fall. I paired it with this skater skirt from Torrid and some laced up sandals. I I didn't want much to any jewelry but couldn't help putting my maroon hat in the mix! Overall this is my favorite fall outfit and I will let you know if I ever get tired of it because so far I am not.

Enjoy!

Am I Hip Yet ft. Lovesick

Thursday, August 4, 2016

Hey all!

I am back from my little family vacay. I thought I could post while I was at the lake but it turns out I had no wifi! Whoops! So here I am a week late with this post but that's okay just means I have to catch you up on life!

Espresso Yourself

Monday, July 25, 2016

Hey all!

If you couldn't notice I got a small trim a few days ago. Well.. More like 6-7inchs off. My hair was really dead and the blonde was just really unhealthy and frizzy so it was time. I was going to get a trim but found a haircut on Pinterest right before I went in and it was all very impulsive. My new hairstylist Jayme was great and listened to what I wanted and helped me figure out what would be best. So we toned my hair and gave myself a bob! This is the first time I curled it with my pearl wand from NuMe works best.

Also do you love this shirt or what? I think it is so puny and versatile making it easy to dress up or down. I also have been into coffee lately so I totally had an excuse to purchase this shirt. I also am wearing a bracelet my Grandma gave my sister and I the other night. I love it so much it says "She believed she could so she did" it s a quote by R.S. Grey.

I hope you like this outfit I think it is so fun and flirty and perfect for going out with your girls, or on a date/dinner, or to a dressier social event. I love this skirt so much I think it is a staple time everyone needs in their wardrobe. I am eyeing this one at my work that's black and has some scallop cutouts at the bottom. I thought about wearing a statement necklace but I wanted my shirt and skirt to be the focus so I just topped it off with some simple gold jewelry and tan sandals and black crossbody.

Enjoy!
