Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Hey all!

I am getting ready for summer and have been pretty unsure what to wear. And if you're like me you sift through Pinterest or Instagram to find something that will be cool enough for the hot summer heat.

I have made three outfits today to give you some ides for this summer of maybe what to stick to when you're in a jam and need to change fast!

Enjoy!

Casual-
Here is something real easy and breezy to wear out and about on errands or to the park. Minimal jewelry because if you're like me then to much makes me feel like I am chocking and sweat even more during the summer. A tank is always a must and this one includes two of my favorite things: Tigers, and florals! Anything fringe has been in style and that's a must for this summer, and these bleached acid wash jeans. These sandals have a larger band and are definitely a color statement with the gold.

Semi-Nice~Summertime Outfit
Semi-Nice-
This outfit is for if you're going out with friends or going to a movie anything where you don't want to wear a pair of shorts and t-shirt to. I paired a lace shirt with a chambray that you can roll the sleeves up to look more casual. I wanted some color but not a lot so I paired it with some pink jeans that you can also roll up so you aren't as hot. You know I love pattern so I to mix it up with some leopard sandals. Finally to bring the whole look together, pair a pendant or an initial necklace.
Dressy~Summertime Outfit
Dressy-
This outfit is for going out to a party or on a date to a nice restaurant. I have been loving pink's and coral's lately and summer is a great time to wear a lot of color! So I took this dress from Asos that has a small shell & sequin pattern on the bodice. The color is so bright and just plain gorgeous. I wanted a statement necklace so I took this one that had the colors I wanted and it's gold. Then found a bracelet that it kind of chunky but also elegant. It's not matchy-matchy with the necklace but  it goes with it. Finally a chunky heel has been in style lately so I completed the look with a nude chunky heel!

Graduation | Party Ideas

Hey all!

I know that we all are getting into Grad party's now and some of us are decorating! Here are some ideas on what to maybe get. Tassels and Pom poms are just plain adorable and girly enough for a 18 year old girls party to liven up the place. These little labels are perfect to label all the food and sweets you've set out. The mason jars are perfect to use as vases! They're not only a little vintage but easily paintable and chic for a grad party.

Hope you enjoy these ideas! A little house cleaning things... I will be doing my giveaway on the 30th and have no idea what to get for you all. If you have suggestions let me know over any social medias. I will definitely post photos from my graduation party here because I am getting a really nice camera!!!! You might just see a few things from here in the photos! ;)

Enjoy!

Met Gala

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Hey all!

I know I am totally behind on this but I thought I would share some of my favorite dresses from the Met Gala this past week.

I totally love the more toned down nudes and blushing pink dresses. But I also made room for some bling bling I dresses too. Idina Menzel looked so stunning in the white gown. I love watching the red carpet stuff on t.v. To see all the celebrities and their dates and what they're wearing. Some are outrageous but others are super classic and stunning. Plus I just want to go to another event like prom where you see all your friends and get to mingle with people you never see! And wear an amazing gown ;).

Let me know what your favorites were! Hashtag me #awalkthroughmycloset or #malorisclark and I'll look on twitter or Instagram!

Enjoy!

Mother's Day

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Hey all!
I hope you all are having a wonderful mothers day! And a Happy Mother's day to all of you guys I am wishing your moms and grandmas and aunts a wonderful day celebrating and honoring everything you do for us.

Here is a little outfit post and a few photos of my mom and I because I want to honor her on this special day. Mom if you're reading this I love you very much. You are everything to me. I am going to miss not seeing your face everyday next year. I am going to miss giving you a hug every time you come home from work. I am going to miss your laugh. I am going to miss you listening to my storied of how annoying school was. It wont be a goodbye when I go of to college, more of see you in a few months, but never a goodbye. Thank you for all that you do for me. Even when I wanted to give up on things you were always there. Thank you for going to all my choir concerts and band concerts for 4 years. Thanks for being the loudest mom in the stands, because if I couldn't hear your voice I would be upset and think you didn't come. Thanks for whipping my tears when the going got tough, and being my chauffer 90% of the time. Thank you for being a wonderful cook even though I didn't want to eat what was made about 100% of the time growing up. I could probably right a 2 page essay about how amazing you are but I will probably leave it at that. Thank you for being you! You're the best mom I could ask for!
Enjoy some photos!

Malori

Casual Friday & Giveaway

Friday, May 9, 2014

Hey all!

I hope this week was a great one! I have some really cool news. I am almost to 5000 views on my blog!!! It'really exciting and a huge accomplishment. It is also my blog's birthday on the 30th. I can't believe I have been a blogger for a year. To me  it is an amazing feeling and a real accomplishment to have this blog still up and running and hopefully it runs for more years to come.

So because of both of these exciting news I will be having a giveaway YAY! First giveaway I have ever had on here which I think is pretty cool and appropriate for the occasion. I will announce on Facebook and Twitter as well as on here when the giveaway will start and end and what I will be giving out!

Today was a super casual dress because I wanted to be comfortable and also play with some pattern. So I paired my stripe shirt with my pointed toe leopard flats. I really wanted some color and I was feeling the cobalt pants and loved the way this outfit turned out!

Enjoy!

Malori

My Go-To Spring Outfit & Deep Talk

Thursday, May 8, 2014

Hey all!

This is an emotional week. Most of you will know what I am talking about. My last week of high school is next week and as much as I think I am ready for college life... I'm not. I am probably the worst when it comes to goodbyes. If we're hanging out or on the phone I'll end up saying bye and then we'll talk for another 20 minutes.

That's just the way I am because I love being surrounded by people. I don't think I could ever do online school, or work from home, or have a boring desk job were you aren't interacting with people. I feel like that is one of the reasons I love blogging and sharing myself with others. Even if it is behind a screen you see me as I truly am. I talk to you about my day or week or, if I'm really behind, my month! Even if I think what I right about is silly I know someone out there is listening and nodding with agreement. This is why I love fashion. I love that thee are other women out there who share my same concerns about the industry. How not everything has to be for someone stick straight. If you don't agree you might as well stop reading here and get off my blog because you wont be missed from my page. Thank you to those who actually read this and agree with me and support me! You're absolutely wonderful and it makes going through in design and fashion worth it!!!

Anyways getting off that little rant :).

I have been loving pairing some type of floral shirt or kimono with a body con or pencil skirt! Then I usually will pair with my watch and a cute statement necklace. It's breathable enough outside for me to be able to layer a chambray shirt on top of everything.

I hope you enjoy!

Graduation | What To Wear

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Graduation
Hey all!

I have been feeling totally under the weather these past 2 weeks so I have taken a break from photos. But here is another post and hopefully in the next few days I can do some outfits for yeah!

So I am totally ready to graduate. It is on my to-do list of things and I am nothing but excited. Planning my outfit is another thing... Because I have NO clue what to wear. I honestly haven't thought about it at all. But here is an idea for anyone else goin to your friends/daughter/sibling graduation soon.

Well I am in love with this dress it's not casual but not super fancy either. I love the color too pastels are always in during this season so I though putting in a coraly pink would be great! Wedges are a must ad these are adorable. Next is jewelry and you can't go wrong with some arm candy and a small pendant with your initials!

Enjoy!
