Go-To Summer Outfit

Monday, August 21, 2017

Hey all!

I can't believe I start senior year in a week and a new job on Wednesday. Everything is happening so fast and it is exciting! I can't wait to have a great year full of change and lots of new memories.

I already got my planner and backpack and all my things for my classes. I'll be doing a separate post of where I got everything on Wednesday. But I wanted just new/different everything because I just needed fresh start at this new school to finish strong.

Moving on to this outfit, it has become my go to outfit to wear this summer when I have run out of ideas. I got this dress from Rue 21+ when tie-dye became a thing for 5 min again. But honestly, I love tie-dye so much I used to wear tie-dye shirts all the time when I was younger. So go figure at 21 I wear tie-dye dresses now.

I also found the PERFECT ripped jean jacket & it's cropped which is great. I love putting it into my outfits to make it edgier and less put together. I found these shoes at DSW on super sale and they are the most comfortable heels I have ever owned. I can wear them for hours. Then I put my favorite hat on and jewelry from Francesca's.

Tempe Photographer Rylie took these photos for me. You should checkout her page here. I can't wait to collab with her again. I hope you enjoyed this outfit!

What To Wear: Sporting Event

What To Wear: Sporting Event

1//2//3//4//5//6//7//8//
Hey all!

I decided I want to do this segment giving tips for what to wear to certain events. Especially ones I plan on going to during the summer or even have gone on. But most importantly I want to talk about things not to wear because I have most definitely been the one to wear the wrong thing to an event.

I went to a baseball game recently and loved what I wore. I had on a white and black striped shirt with some distressed jean shorts and converse. Then I tied a red button down around my waist. I added a watch and some gold jewelry and earrings that were super simple. Then to finish the outfit I wore, of course, a baseball hat for the team I am cheering on!

Obsessed With Blush

Friday, February 3, 2017

Hey all!

Thank you so much for being patient with me while I have been getting settled back into a new school schedule. I haven't had a lot of time to get to sit down and blog or take photos. So thank you for bearing with me as I continue to go back to taking photos myself and finding a schedule to post!

So you might have guessed by the title that I have been obsessed with this blush color on any of my clothing.  I have shoes, a t-shirt, a sweater, and plenty of necklaces that are a blushy pink/lavender hue and I am in LOVE with them. I hope this trend continues.

I saw a photo similar to the outfit I am wearing and I just had to recreate it since it is starting to warm up here in AZ. I am finally able to pair shorts/skirts without any leggings or tights underneath with a warmer clothing like a sweater and vice versa. I got this top from Rue21 during winter break and I have been wearing it nonstop it is so comfortable and it is cropped in the front and longer in the back. I put it on top of a body con dress and added my favorite brown booties and opal necklace.

I have a few more posts in mind before we get into FULL spring mode. I want to definitely do a athleisure outfit since that has really become popular. But I am back and have lots of ideas and can't wait to post more!

Hope you enjoy this outfit!

Making My Own Clothes

Saturday, January 14, 2017

Hey all!

So update I turned 21 on Tuesday! WOHOOOO!!! I honestly had the most amazing time. My roommate had a get together at our apartment and toasted with me and I got to meet her friends and they were all nice/great people. Then my 2 best friends joined me for dinner for drinks and pazookie. If you must know BJs is my fav fav favorite restaurant. I did have class the next day so nothing crazy but it was still memorable. We ended up going back to my apartment to play board games and  mingle with her friends.

I am excited to post this outfit because... I made this shirt! I am incredibly proud of it and cant stop wearing it. My mom helped me with the pattern and picking something simple enough where I could work on it without her. I got that sewing machine for Christmas and so far I feel like a kid again getting to play with my big kid toy all the time. I have a vest I am working on now but I love this shirt. It turned out great.

I also got a new editing system for my photos which has me really excited. So bear with me while I find what I like since I am not used to it yet. I also am back in school so I am gonna try my best to have outfits lined up for posts but I may have to take a week or two break to make time for classes. But I promise I have some fun stuff lined up!

I hope you enjoyed my ramble and this outfit!

Cold Shoulder Tops ft. Lovesick

Friday, November 4, 2016

Hey all,

Thank goodness it is Friday finally!! I hope you guys had a great Halloween. I went with friends to raise awareness for UNICEF and I dressed as Jess from New Girl. I had a great time and we got free donuts! The rest of my week has been really long and I had so many exams and tests happening. I am so ready for a break and for colder weather. It is finally under 85 degrees and getting cooler.

I am sad Halloween is over but we are so close to Thanksgiving and Christmas I can hardly stand it! If you didn't know already those are my favorite holiday's just because of all the time I get to spend with my family and the weather and the layering. So this will hopefully be my last post of me transitioning clothing and it will finally be cool enough for me to layer and do fall outfits!

I love this cold shoulder top from Lovesick. I love how they look on my shoulders. Especially if you are self conscious and don't like tank tops then this is a great happy middle for you. I also have been loving ripped jeans but these ones the holes just keep getting bigger and bigger so that's the only downside. Then I paired some neutrals with it and just love this outfit! Perfect transition into fall!

Enjoy!

Casual Season's Change

Friday, October 21, 2016

Hey all!

I am back into my normal routine now and am totally having withdrawals from my trip. I definitely miss all my friends that I made out there and was happy to be at one of my best friends wedding. It was beautiful and the venue was gorgeous. I got to go to a few sporting events with some friends and spent my nights up way too late with some of my best friends. I will never forget that trip and it will always be one of my favorites.

But now it's back to the real world! I can't believe we are already in the middle of the semester and October is almost over. I really want to go to a pumpkin patch so if you know of any goodones let me know! Time is just flying by. And as much as I will it to be it is not cold enough here for me to do fall outfits still so I promise I am working on it! But for now here is a cool outfit that is a great transition to fall if you live in a hot state like I do.

Enjoy!

Espresso Yourself

Monday, July 25, 2016

Hey all!

If you couldn't notice I got a small trim a few days ago. Well.. More like 6-7inchs off. My hair was really dead and the blonde was just really unhealthy and frizzy so it was time. I was going to get a trim but found a haircut on Pinterest right before I went in and it was all very impulsive. My new hairstylist Jayme was great and listened to what I wanted and helped me figure out what would be best. So we toned my hair and gave myself a bob! This is the first time I curled it with my pearl wand from NuMe works best.

Also do you love this shirt or what? I think it is so puny and versatile making it easy to dress up or down. I also have been into coffee lately so I totally had an excuse to purchase this shirt. I also am wearing a bracelet my Grandma gave my sister and I the other night. I love it so much it says "She believed she could so she did" it s a quote by R.S. Grey.

I hope you like this outfit I think it is so fun and flirty and perfect for going out with your girls, or on a date/dinner, or to a dressier social event. I love this skirt so much I think it is a staple time everyone needs in their wardrobe. I am eyeing this one at my work that's black and has some scallop cutouts at the bottom. I thought about wearing a statement necklace but I wanted my shirt and skirt to be the focus so I just topped it off with some simple gold jewelry and tan sandals and black crossbody.

Enjoy!

Countdown

Friday, July 15, 2016

Hey all!

Can you believe how fast we're going through July? I am not complaining though. I need to be back in school and feeling busy with a schedule.

July 4th: Day To Night

Monday, July 4, 2016

Hey all!

Happy 4th guys! Please be super safe today with fireworks if you are handling them.

So originally I couldn't find anything in my closet that even remotely was red and blue (except for some flannels) so I made due with what I had! Then I couldn't decide which outfit I liked better so I decided to post about both of them!

Summer Lovin'

Summer Lovin'
Hey all!

I can't believe I haven't put together a little swim suit/by the pool/at the beach look for you guys yet! Here are some things on my wishlist this summer that I absolutely am loving.

First off these sandals that lace up to my ankles are are adorable and I have been looking for them everywhere that are just right. I also love a big sun hat because lets be honest I burn super easily on my scalp and under my eyes. Which is also why I put my favorite sunscreen in the mix as well.

3 Years

Monday, May 30, 2016

Hey all!

Today is my blog's 3rd birthday. I am lost for words to thank each and every one of you for even clicking like on a photo or reading what I have to say. I can't express how thankful I am to you for supporting me these 3 years. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

End Of A Chapter

Sunday, May 8, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are having a wonderful Mother's Day! I am so grateful for the amazing women I call my mom and everything she has done for me. She is such a selfless and caring person and I strive to be like her when I am a mom. I love you mom and I hope you have a great day! One day isn't enough to celebrate you. It also happen's to be my dad's birthday so I have to give him a shout out as well. Dad thank you for coming out to my concert last week and listening to my endless chatter. You are goofy and get on my nerves but I love you all the same.

Florals & Neutrals

Saturday, April 23, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Our school's production of Midsummer Nights Dream is all weekend and tomorrow is the last show. All the cast and crew have worked so hard on this show and they did such a great job! Also I know that Prom has been going on the past few weekend and the next few so I hope everyone is safe and has a wonderful time! I saw a few friends go to prom recently and you all look beautiful.

First Day of Spring

Sunday, March 20, 2016

First Day of SpringHey all!

Today is officially the first day of spring! How exciting that I can finally wear tank tops and shorts again. Plus getting a tan by the pool and watching the flowers bloom is a huge plus.

Spring In The Midwest

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are enjoying your spring break! I know my roommate and I are! We got back in time to celebrate my mom's birthday on Saturday and it was a blast. Then we had to rest the next day because we were pretty tuckered out. On Monday I took the family to the mall and then we tanned by the pool for a bit.

Take Me Home

Thursday, March 10, 2016

Hey all!

Tomorrow officially starts my spring break! This is a much needed break after such a long semester. Even though we're a few months in it has just felt so long. So I am completely excited for some pool time and some sun time. It is time to start getting a tan, go on a hike, watch the pretty sunsets, and stay up late with friends!

Mixing Textures & Prints

Thursday, February 25, 2016

Hey all!

As you can see I am completely ignoring that Spring is coming up fast and still dressing like it's winter. Mainly because I just hung up all my winter clothes it seems like. I am not quite ready to take them down. This outfit I just wanted to have some print mixing with my leopard shoes and crochet maroon scarf. And keeping everything black and neutral so those two items would stand out.

Effortlessly Chic

Saturday, February 20, 2016

Hey all!

I hope you are having a great start to your weekend! Anyone else sad that it is starting to get hotter out? I still have so many winter outfit ideas!

This week happened to not be one of my favorites. Lots of busy work between last minute paperwork for K-State and then we had our Fine Arts day. Plus I felt like I just got slammed with a lot of work. But hey, its the weekend and its been warming up outside and I am not going to complain about that.

Valentine's Day Outfit

Sunday, February 14, 2016

Hey all!

Hope you had a fabulous Valentine's Day weekend everybody! I went home with my roommate to go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Such good food! And she got to sit on a saddle while we sang 'Happy Birthday' to her :). Then on Saturday we went and took some new blog photos and shopping and saw How To Be Single with Rebel Wilson and Dakota Johnson. It was really good and entertaining. Some of the humor was kind of meh but it was still good fun. I didn't really have any plans for today so my roommate and her bf and I went and saw Deadpool and it was also great! Very vulgar humor though so if you're under 18 please don't take your kid to see it!

The Perfect Jacket

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Hey all!

Anyone watch that Super Bowl game Sunday? I did and honestly I was a little bored. I really wanted the Cardinals instead of the Panthers to go up against the Broncos because then at least it would have been an interesting game. But it was just so boring. And the halftime show was alright but it wasn't my favorite.
