A Weekend In Arizona

Wednesday, August 9, 2017

Hey all!

I know I talked a little bit about my weekend with my boyfriend but I wanted to talk about all the adventures and places we went to. These first photos are just ones from my Snapchat or Instagram story.

I forgot to mention in my last post about going to get donuts at this place called Fractured Prune. Man oh man are they sinful. After I picked him up from the airport we met up with a friend of mine and went to listen to live music and get donuts.

I talked about last time how we went to the MIM and then we ended up driving to Prescott {which is up in northern Arizona for those of you who don't know} to go see my bf's grandparents. It was so much cooler up there I was insanely jealous. The view was amazing too with all the mountains and green trees. We ended up going to dinner with them at this place called Bills Grill which has one of the best burgers I've ever had. Then went to this coffee place that had a gallery upstairs and winery downstairs and in the middle was this spice/jam/condiment section.

Updated Home Decor

Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Hey all!

So sorry for the semi long absence. I have had a few school things come up. Spring is always rather busy for me so it'll take me a bit to readjust to having some time to blog again finally. I only have a month left of school and it couldn't end sooner. I am ready for summer, some sunshine and some pool time! I have some exciting posts planned with some other bloggers and companies. AND I have a large giveaway in May for my 4 year anniversary of my blog!!

I thought this would be a fun post just about my updated home decor for spring/all year round. A lot is either handmade from me, people from fairs, friends, and a few is bought from Target. I actually got the pineapple and AZ "home sweet home" from the street fair a few weeks ago. One of my childhood friends made the water color sign for my 21st birthday. I also have 2 more things to hang up and then I am finished with this wall.

My coffee table is my favorite thing right now since my roommate and I both love musky/pine scents we have been trying to get through this Yankee candle. I know it's way past Christmas but it lasts so long and burns forever. I also have this fun tic tac toe set my mom gave me of cactus and AZ state pieces. So far I love the new arrangement and can't wait to add more.

Enjoy!

Transitioning Season's

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

Hey all!

Today or really for the past few days I have been trying to figure out how to still stay warm and look like Spring is about to come any second!

I found the answer!! I paired my white slouchy sweater with some bright pink rolled up jeans and added my studded sandals and white jewelry.

Rolling up my jeans and putting sandals on with studs made me feel the transition to a different season. The studs have me this laid back feel and the bright pink is totally on trend for this Spring.

Let me know what you like to wear when you're getting into a new season!

Enjoy!

Holiday Outfit

Sunday, December 22, 2013

Hey all!

Thought I would do a Christmas eve/holiday outfit for you since Christmas is this week!!! Ahhhhhh I am so excited.

I know that all of us have these plans during the busy holidays whether it be a nice dinner with family or a party with friends. Either way you want to look nice and put together and dress up for the special occasion.

I wanted something nice but still a little casual. I choose my nice black dress and a creme cardigan to dress it down. I paired it with this super popular sparkly gold belt I have seen all over Instagram. I did the same makeup look in my Holiday Makeup For Less having a classy bold red lip.

Pattern Mixing

Sunday, December 1, 2013

Since November I have been thinking a lot about what college to go to and what major to settle on and even what career I want. I have decided to commit to this community college called Cowley County in Arkansas City, KS. Then transfer to Kansas State University to major in Apparal and Textiles. Kansas is where I was born and most of my family is there. My parents want me to get out of here (in a nice way) and have a college experience. Which I am lucky to have them support me in a field that will be challenging. I decided on apparel and textiles because 1) they don't have fashion and design and 2) I want to be a personal stylist or fashion consultant. I am not a huge designer. I can't really draw. But I love putting outfits together and knowing the new trends.

It keeps occurring to me that I only have half a year left till summer then college starts. It's totally crazy for me to think about. Senior year has finally come and it's almost over. Tomorrow I start school and we have 2 1/2 weeks till winter break. It's pretty crazy how time flies. But I'm excited for the adventures ahead.

Moving along to my outfit for today. I have been experimenting this week with mixing prints and I love pairing leopard with plaid. And plaid has definitely been a huge trend for this fall and winter.

I went to Black Friday and picked up this plaid shirt from Old Navy and this leopard scarf from Wet Seal. Both had AMAZING deals that night.

Enjoy!

November Weather

Friday, November 8, 2013

I know I have been posting that it's getting colder or it's warm but this time it's the truth that it has been super cold in the mornings.

Currently at my sisters softball tourney an it was sweatpants this morning an shorts this afternoon. I can't wait for more sweater weather and scarfs. That will be the majority of my outfit posts! ;)

On a side note I was freezing with my sandals today. My mom actually told me haven't you worn this outfit already? No mom you wouldn't understand. It's the same dress just different accessories.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Xoxo,
Malori

Simple Style

Monday, September 23, 2013

When I am totally not in the mood to dress up or dress down the first thing I think of to put on is this Chambray top. I am in love with this one from Old Navy.

You really want to pick one with a bit of room so you aren't constricted and there isn't buttons flying open. That would be bad and I have been there. I'm glad I found this one from Old Navy because they are true to their size!

Chambray for me will always be my favorite shirt to throw on with leggings and sandals and call it good. You can pair it with pretty much anything (except for denim the same color).

Here is a simple look I put together since Phoenix is starting to get somewhat cooler here I went with some leggings with crosses on them. And some booties I am going to love this fall! I then paired it with some statement jewelry.

Enjoy!

Pink & White Cutouts

Sunday, August 11, 2013

Hello there!

Sorry I haven't been posting everyday. Since I have started school again I do have other activities after school and homework so I'am trying my best to post every other day instead but no promises. Expect there to be random posts from now and then later on this year!

So back to my outfit, I finally replaced my leggings this weekend (my old ones got torn apart when I fell down the stairs at school last year). Anyways... I love them they are much more comfortable than my old ones. Paired it with some pink jewelry and flats to dress it up a bit!

First Day Of School

Thursday, August 8, 2013

Today was my last FIRST day of school. It was totally different driving to school this morning and getting to leave early. Probably the worst thing is the light is so short so there was a huge line so we were late.
Here is a picture:

So I decided I would make a post about some options for the first day. My friends from my some of my other posts Rachel, and Bailey both made one's for me and wrote small descriptions of how they put the outfit together!

Malori

Me:

I had my sister help me pick out my outfit. I picked out my new turquoise shirt from target. I totally couldn't find a pair of shorts to go with it and my sister finds my lace shorts! It was meant to be. I then topped it off with my leopard flats and some gold jewelry!

Rachel:

Rachel says, "I started out with the tank, then matched the shorts to an under laying color in the top. I went with converse to make the look 'sporty' and accessorized with shells, wooden beads, and a pendant to top it off."

Shirt- Kohls// Shorts- H&M// Shoes- Converse// Jewelry- Kohls, Wet Seal

Bailey:

Bailey says, "I always look forward to the beginning of the year, especially the first day to roll out a new and super fashionable outfit. After all the first day is the day you meet all your teachers, and any new students in your classes! It is a big day for forst impressions. My back to school outfit this year consisted of a 100% cotton white button down shirt with adorable studs. I chose this particular top because it is super cool (considering it is hot here) yet casual AND a bit fancy. I paired it with a mint blue, high-waisted skaterskirt (also 100% cotton). "

"I decided to go with fairly simple jewelry, so I just dawned a cute pink watch, and a blue beaded bracelet. You can also see the studs on my collar better here."

"Lastly I wore a pair of nude sandals with gold embellishments! I thought it polished of the look very well!"

Dress For Less: Target Edition

Thursday, July 11, 2013

So I had this crazy idea that I could go to target and find an outfit for $30! Which I did :) *happy dance*
I went in and found the cutest outfit ever but... I didn't try it on. Ladies that was not a wise choice. In my defense I thought, "Oh this is my size and if I hold it up against me then it'll fit later right?" Yeah wrong.

I went back and got a dress that I LOVE. And it just so happens to be hi-lo. And it also happened to be on sale for 7.45. Then I found this cute yellow/pink statement necklace that I can't wait to use in future outfits to give a piece a little color. I also remembered I had just bought these flats not that long ago also on sale!

I then decided it would be fun to have my best friends come over for a photoshoot! We had a lot of fun taking these pictures and goofing around in the wash(backyard desert) behind my house.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them :)

Start of Something New

Thursday, May 30, 2013

Very first post! I'm so excited to start this Blog this summer because the only thing I really love is Fashion.

And some may say that when you are a certain size you can't always wear certain clothes or even be stylish at all.

WRONG.

I completely disagree. You can still dress adorable and  feel good about yourself even when you aren't a size 00.

Dressing up not only makes me feel better about myself but my friends and family notice my happiness and are happy for me. I hope that maybe my blog can help others see that you are beautiful inside and out and don't need to worry about what you look like to not dress to success everyday.

This Blog is going to be about my life and what I wear or how I style myself to make me feel good on the outside and inside! I might also post a little about my life along the way ;).

Can't wait to get started with outfit posts tomorrow!
