The Classics

Saturday, December 5, 2015

Hey all!

I hope you enjoyed your break and are excited that it is finally December!!!! That means we can all just sip on some hot cocoa and watch Hallmark and ABC Family Christmas movies right? RIGHT!

I love the holidays and I already went and did my christmas shopping during Black Friday! It wasn't all that busy mostly because of the weather. We had a lot of freezing ice storms which made the roads really dangerous to drive on. But besides the horrible weather I had a great time! I bought these boots I am wearing in this post. HOW CUTE ARE THEY!? *insert heart eye emoji*

Boho

Saturday, July 19, 2014

Hey all!

I know I keep talking about leaving for college, but I'll mention it one more time. I decided it would be fun to do one more post and photo shoot with my bestie, Rachel, before I leave. She's been in one other post, back in July of last year!

I went with a bohemian theme, but kept it true to my style. There's no need to go all out to get a certain look. It's called "inspiration" for a reason.

Rachel also went along with the bohemian trend. You can still see her style through the structured-ness of her leather shorts, which I l-o-v-e.

After we got back to my house we "walked" through my closet (haha puns...) and I started packing my clothes for college. There's so much empty space and I'm only half done!

All in all, we had an amazing time taking photos despite the ridiculously hot weather. Ahh the struggle over beauty!

Enjoy this post!

xoxo,
Malori

Spring Time| Date Night

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Hey all!

I hope your spring break was nice I know mine was. It has finally transferred over to the spring weather/no wind summer weather here.

I have been planning on making a post about a date night outfit and here it is! Since now it is spring this outfit does gravitate more towards the season. I wore this peplum flower printed top and black leathered pencil skirt. It's just dressy enough and laid back you can walk around a mall, go to a basketball game, see a movie, or anything else. I wore sandals and gold jewelry to match.

I also curled my hair differently to make it a little more effortless and beachy.

Hope you enjoy!

Malori

Senior Photos

Sunday, March 30, 2014

After receiving my senior photos it really hit me that I am graduating. That my high school career is coming to a close and it certainly has been an amazing ride. I have had great friends come and go and have been involved in great programs but I am ready for this new chapter in my life. It will certainly be different transitioning to a smaller city, college, and closet space but I know it'll be a great experience.

Anyways, before I start crying writing this post... Here are some tips dressing for your own professional photos:

I definitely recommend layering. It is a must. You can also play up your outfit with a statement necklace or pop of color in some earrings. Neutrals and pops of color are everything. You don't have to just wear black an brown and gray.

In my outfits I wore black and made coral and pinks the pops and they really made my eyes pop too! Comfortable clothes are also key. You don't want to wear too tight of clothing or too loose and make you look frumpy.

I hope you enjoy my photos and these tips!

Xoxo,

Malori

Few Of My Favorite Things

Thursday, January 30, 2014

As you have probably guessed by the title I am wearing some of my favorite items. I had planned for this outfit all week because today it was in the 80s! 81 to be exact was the high today. Which is just unbelievable that Arizona has decided to skip Winter and just head right for Spring. Which is too bad because Winter/Fall are my favorite time of year. I love wearing leggings and layering. Let me know in the comments what your favorite time of year is!!!

My black dress is from Target and I have worn it so many time this past year and this new year that has begun! My kimono is new from Tilly's and I am also obsessed with it. I love that it's so long and not short that barely hits my waist. Finally I topped I off with my turquoise necklace I got for my bithday and favorite black booties from Christmas!!!

Enjoy!

Malori

Hey all!

Happy New Year!!!! I can't believe its 2014 and Christmas for me just flew by this year. it was really nice for the break I am sure you all had a nice one. Spending time with your loved ones and such! Leave a comment below letting me know what you did! :)

I think tomorrow's post may be a favorite fashion of 2013. I know it's a little late and other bloggers have already gotten there's out there but bare with me! Let me know also what your favorite fashion statements were your favorite for 2013! It doesn't have to just be fashion but beauty, t.v., movies, books, sport teams, etc.

Anyways, this first day back to school was excruciatingly long. And I know this semester will also be very, very, VERY long. I have made it this far my senior year and trust me; I am not about to quit now. I am so close to graduating, I can feel the diploma in my hand. So with this morning's attitude in mind I decided I wanted to dress up to just being SO close to the end.

Enjoy my outfit!

Malori

I actually straightened my hair for once in my life. I don't always straighten my hair but when I do it flips up on the ends. ( let me know if this also happens to you. It is really aggravating.)

Must Have's For Fall

Saturday, September 21, 2013

Hello there!

I think you have noticed a pattern... That I really want it to be fall already. Arizona weather is weird. I hate the heat. But I love when it's fall and winter here. It is literally the perfect temperature out and there is always that nice breeze! Ooh I can't wait.

So I decided to show what I am most excited about this fall clothing wise and what is going to be a must have this year!

1) These Old Navy raglan sweaters are perfect for the cooler days outside. An you can definitely later them with an oxford button down or a chambray top. I have been obsessed with graphic tees so these are perfect to transition from summer to fall!

2) I also found these cardigans and light weight sweaters. They add more dimension than just a plain colored sweater or cardigans. The sweaters can be layered over dresses or tucked underneath a skater skirt. You can also layer both with chambray oxford button downs too. The cardigans can dress up and outfit and the patches on the elbows are so in right now!

3) I cannot tell you how long I have been wanting some sort of flannel shirt but not look like a cowgirl. And I think I found one! Again these are both from Old Navy. They are perfect for layering or pairing with a statement necklace. Preferably with a pearl necklace in my opinion.

4) Some pants I have been also loving for fall are dark jeans, pleather, and long pencil skirts. The first two are from Forever 21+ and the skirt is Old Navy. Forever 21+ is probably the best place to order jeans or leggings if you are curvy. Pleather is going to be big this fall too from what I have been seeing in the fall collections. They go with a lot of things and I love how they feel. The skirt can go with a large sweater. It can also be layered with chambray or plaid shirt underneath a sweater.

5) You probably guessed it. More pleather!!! I am in love with this sweater. Anything where there is leather on the shoulders, long sleeve, and/or short sleeves.

6) Now here are some shoes I think will be popular for fall. Pointed toe flats are totally a must. I love the way they make my feet slender since I do have wide and big feet already. Then there is short booties like short cowboy boots or lace booties! I'm in love with both of these one from target the other old navy. They can pretty much go with anything. And lastly brown riding boots. These will always be a huge look every season. You can dress them up or down with jeans and they keep you warm during the colder days!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Xoxo,
Malori
